Choose arcade or arrange mode. Press Up or Select at the difficulty selection screen. The following codes now be entered at the secret mode screen.

Secret characters Rating: Pending  
Highlight "Arcade mode" or "Arrange mode" at the main menu. Then hold Left and press Circle. For another set of characters, hold Right and press Circle.

Press Start at the song selection screen until a little box comes up. You may now choose if you want stealth arrows, small arrows, mirror mode, and little characters, etc.
