Affect Your Sim's Mood Rating: Pending  
First of all, save the game without closing (click on the white file disk in the options menu). After you have done this, type Ctrl + C. Then in the box that pops up, type "move_objects on" and press enter.

Now go to "Buy" mode and select your Sim. Press "Delete" on your keyboard. Now go to "Live" mode and click on the Sim's icon. You can delete all of the Sims in a household at once. Press "Play" and then before your eyes everything will turn to green! Make sure that you save, that way they don't lose any employment information.

Note: You cannot go to "Buy" mode when a robber or fire is going on.

Make it snow Rating: Pending  
Hold Enter, Ctrl + C Then type in SNOW and press ok.

Hint: Get Santa Rating: Pending  
If you want Santa to come, get a fireplace, some cookies, and a Christmas tree. Put your Sims to bed early and Santa will come and leave you presents! Make sure your cookies are fresh! (Santa will not come every night. He won't come for a while after you do it.)

Hint: Cool extra things to have Rating: Pending  
Here are some cool gadgets that are just fun:

1. If you get the genie lamp, click on it and go to "clean." A genie will come out and grant you a wish. You get to pick between two choices. Sometimes you get a good wish, but other times, something bad will happen (like the house flooding or your bathtub catching on fire!)

2. Crystal ball: You can gaze into the crystal ball and it will tell your "future" It does not really work, but it is just fun to watch.

3. Voodoo doll: Click on the voodoo doll and pick someone you want to do it to. You can not pick what you want to do to them, but they either shake, poke, or punch it. NOTE: The person you did it to will probably go over and slap you.

4. Potion maker: That's right, you get to make potions with this item. Depending on what color it is, something will happen to your sim that drinks it. Blue is really the only good color (it makes some of your sim's bars go all the way up), but it is fun to watch them drink the potions. NOTE: The green potion turns you into a monster or makes an evil clone!

5. Woodworking station: The only thing you can make on this is a gnome and you can sell them, too. They are not much at first, but if you have a lot of mechanical skills, they can be worth a lot.

Hidden cartoon Rating: Pending  
When you insert the game CD-ROM and it asks whether you want to start or visit various web sites, move the pointer over the gray Maxis symbol in the bottom left corner. It will change into colored text. Click on it to see the hidden cartoon.

The person in the cartoon is Will Wright, the creator of SimCity, The Sims, etc. riding the electric scooter he uses to get around his office building.

Real music Rating: Pending  
Note: This trick requires a music recording/downloading program. Record/download the music of your choice. After that save the music files to The Sims game in the path "/Maxis/The Sims/Music/Stations/" followed by "Rock", "Classical", "Latin", or "Country". This can also be saved so that the TV plays the music by selecting the "SoundData/TVStations" path instead of "Music", then choosing "Mystery", "Romance", "Comedy", or "Action".

Information window Rating: Pending  
Hold [Alt] + [Shift] and move the mouse. This will open a window that will display the room number, elevation, and similar information.

Keeping need meters full Rating: Pending  
If you are having troubling making sure your Sims bars do not drop too low, pause game play, then tell your Sims what they need to do. When you resume the game you will not have to worry about trying to get your Sims bars full.
