Weird boo noise Rating: Pending  
Go outside the castle then go back in and immediatly run up the stairs. When you reach the top, stop. Run back down the stairs and go into the door on the bottom right with the 3 on it. Run and press yourself into the right wall next to the painting and you will hear a weird boo noise.

Tiny Huge Island: Crazy water Rating: Pending  
This is a cool glitch. First you must be in the huge island. Then go to the tall mountain with the water on top. When you see the thin brown walkway stop. Go back and then long jump or dive into the side of the mountain.

This will probably take a while. Sometimes 100 or more tries. But when you dive into the mountain you will be inside the level. You will be underwater. You can swim everywhere. This is also a shortcut to the wrigglers cave. Don't swim too far down or you will fall out of the level and die.

Hidden extra life mushroom Rating: Pending  
After getting a total of three stars, enter the room with the painting of the sunken ship. Turn to the left of the entrance. Once in the room, press C -Up to look around. Look carefully to see a black square in the wall near the ceiling. Perform a double jump and climb into it. An extra life mushroom will come out. Note: Make sure to choose the square to the left of the entrance. The one on the right will lead you to the Castle's hidden aquarium.

After emptying the moat in front of the castle, use the ramp to walk down into it. Go under the bridge and press C -Up to look up to see two yellow coins. Perform a wall kick to get both the coins. Once you get both coins, an extra life mushroom will drop from above. This trick takes practice, and you may want to do a double jump and then a wall kick, as the coins are very high.

Use the following trick for another way to get the two yellow coins. If you have collected all 120 stars, cannonball yourself to the top and get the flying hat. Jump of the castle and fly under the bridge to get the first coin. Swing around in order to get the last coin. Then, pound ground to land so you can get the extra life.

Go to the first door on the left in the castle that does not have a number on it. Enter it and jump into the painting. Select any level and go to the cannon by the Chain Chomp's territory. Jump onto the tree just behind it, then do a handstand to get an extra life.

Mushroom following you Rating: Pending  
Collect 120 stars then go to a tree outside of the castle. Quickly climb it and jump off the top jump. A Mushroom will appear and follow you.

Easy lives Rating: Pending  
Enter the castle and go up the stairs all the way to the right. Enter the room and jump through the painting on the right. Go through the level collecting fifty or more coins and complete the level to get an extra life. This may be done as many times as needed as you will not lose a life if you fall off the track. Note: Hit the blue coin switch first to get fifty coins much easier.

Coins from stumps Rating: Pending  
When you see a stump, try to circle it five times. If done correctly, five coins will appear from the stump.

Thousand coin unlimited lives (Japanese version) Rating: Pending  
During the first fight with Bowser, avoid him and collect all the coins that appear. After a considerable amount of time, you should be able to collect 1000 coins. At this point, a green "M" will appear next to the number of lives remaining. From this point on, when a life is lost, the number of lives increases. The reverse is also true - gaining lives will actually lower the number of lives remaining. The cheat will end if the number of lives reaches zero, such as when Yoshi gives Mario 100 lives after obtaining 120 stars. The North American version only allows 999 coins to be collected.

Prevent damage from falls Rating: Pending  
When falling from a large drop, press Z just before you hit the ground to slam and you will not take any damage.

Jump off a high place and do a Super Butt Slam just before you hit the ground (or slightly higher), and no damage will be taken off.

Yoshi Rating: Pending  
Obtain all 120 stars and go outside the castle. Climb inside the cannon opening that is now located where the grating was near the Fish Pond. Aim to land Mario onto the roof, where he will meet Yoshi. He will speak to Mario, award a 100 life bonus and a triple-jump move, and quickly leave.

When you start the game, you will see the castle . Go to the right side of the castle . Start from the first tree closest to the castle. Stand next to the tree and run forward, then press A (3) to do a front flip, then kick off the castle, then get to the grass wall that stands next to the castle, Keep doing the same thing until you get to the top of the castle, where you will find Yoshi.

Alternate triple jump Rating: Pending  
Obtain all 120 stars and use the cannon to see Yoshi. Mario will be able to perform a different triple jump after you talk to Yoshi. Instead of doing a flip while both feet are sticking out straight, Mario will do a real flip crouched together with sparkles. The sparkles will protect Mario from damage when triple jumping off a high place.
